My Role

As Design Director, I led the creative vision for Year in Preview, partnering with internal teams and YETI stakeholders to reimagine the platform as an evergreen, scalable product. From early strategy through execution, I shaped design patterns, interaction models, and accessibility standards to deliver a cohesive, high-craft experience.

Challenge

After the success of the original Year in Preview campaign, YETI faced a new challenge: evolve the concept from a one-off activation into a long-term, utility-driven brand platform. The goal was to scale the experience globally, empower users to shape their own adventures, and build something accessible, intuitive, and always-on.

Solution

Guided by insights from the first campaign, we rebuilt Year in Preview as a true product iteration. The new platform became evergreen, globally scalable, and far more personal — with robust filtering, multi-language support, and a streamlined design system. Close collaboration with YETI’s team enabled us to deliver the updated experience in under eight weeks, balancing inspiration, utility, and accessibility.

Case Study

Product Evolution

The first Year in Preview centered on a shareable video generator that stitched together each user’s activities, soundtrack, and themes. While successful, the next iteration shifted focus toward core utility, evolving into a robust calendar built for discovery, accessibility, and return visits.
